Interesting: Dragons

Dragons are creatures that are found in all mythologies around the world and are always presented in an almost identical manner, like a huge snake, or some other reptile, with magical properties.

Medieval vision of the dragon as we know it from the legends of chivalry arose after the area of ancient Mesopotamia, the remains of dinosaurs found. In ancient Greek, Roman and Celtic culture dragons have been presented in a different way, similar to China's vision of these powerful creatures, which are also credited with the discovery of huge bones.

If you are truly powerful reptiles existed, then the alleged Loch Ness monster was perhaps the last representative of this kind.

For the people of medieval Europe and the Middle East, dragons are found everywhere and hiding in caves and were responsible for many evils. Many researchers therefore believe that dragons are nothing but a metaphor for evil, but this applies only to the Christian world.

In the Far East the dragon looked and still look quite different. They are wise and sophisticated creatures, associated with the elements water and air. According to Chinese legend, the gods came to earth from the belly flying dragon, which is a proof of ancient extraterrestrial visits to our planet.

In many eastern Indian tribes and cultures dragons were revered as representatives of the forces of nature and the universe and are held together with wisdom and longevity.

Enjoy and stay cool!

  9. Dragons really are a fascinating myth. While I will not point a finger either direction, I will note that almost EVERY culture, whether they were connected or not, has mythos concerning Dragons or Dragon-like creatures.
