Scooby Doo intro:

Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! made its CBS network debut on Saturday, September 13, 1969 with its first episode, "What a Night for a Knight." The original voice cast featured veteran voice actor Don Messick as Scooby-Doo, Top 40 radio DJ Casey Kasem as Shaggy, actor Frank Welker as Fred, actress Nicole Jaffe as Velma, and musician Indira Stefanianna Christopherson as Daphne.[10] Scooby’s speech patterns closely resembled an earlier cartoon dog, Astro from The Jetsons (1962–63), also voiced by Messick.[1] Seventeen episodes of Scooby-Doo were produced in 1969. The series' eponymous theme song was written by David Mook and Ben Raleigh, and performed by Larry Marks.

Here is first ever episode of Scooby:

"On their way back from the movies, Shaggy and Scooby find the abandoned vehicle of a missing archaeologist, and the only thing inside the car at all is a mysterious suit of black armor in the seat. After research, the gang learns that superstition tells that the armor can come to life. "

  4. For the most part, I liked the cartoons. I didn't like it when they portrayed superstitious bullshit as real, but most of the time the show did a good job at getting the message across that magical mysteries are not really magic.

the movies were crap of course.

  10. I was not aware Scooby Doo was over 40 years old. It still seems very popular to the present day.
